Web Exhibitions

Help us create Web Exhibitions! We hope to have a variety of Washingtonians curate web exhibitions to show different perspectives of the State Art Collection.

All you need to do is explore My Public Art Portal, make a list of artworks you’d like to see together, and email us the list (collections@arts.wa.gov). With a few days’ notice, we can put together a web exhibition for you to use as a teaching tool or simply as a fun virtual exhibition.

Our web exhibitions showcase different segments of the collection: by themes such as cats, Earth Day or music; by different regions in Washington; inspired by topics such as the Chinese Lunar New Year or popular culture (Twin Peaks); new art from the past year; by art materials; and much more.

We also have Artwork Lesson Plans related to specific artworks, for a variety of ages. Look under A for Artwork Lesson Plans and under V for Visual Arts Learning.
