Full Circle: Selections from the Field
Over 15 months (April 2016 to June 2017), our Art Inventory Field Worker, Jennifer Myers, drove 17,000 miles and visited over 100 school districts, colleges, and state agencies in 26 counties – walking over 300 miles and 700,000 steps! She inventoried, photographed, and assessed the condition of over 2,300 artworks in Washington's State Art Collection. Her dedicated service has been essential to the growth of My Public Art Portal. Armed with a clipboard, camera, and a brief description of each artwork, Jennifer documented and discovered a remarkable array of creativity. She enjoyied the pure experience of viewing our geographically diverse artworks in person, as well as seeing a huge part of Washington State during her travels.
Jennifer left ArtsWA to pursue a Master of Science degree in Art Conservation at Winterthur-University of Delaware. To commemorate the incredible work Jennifer has done for the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA), we are pleased to share some of her favorite artworks.
