ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Simple Machines: Wedge is part of a series of six sculptures by artists Bruce Andersen and Shannon Andersen. The sculptures are located around the exterior entryway to the Trades and Industry Building at Green River College and are inspired by the subject matter taught inside the buildings. Capturing the essence of basic machines and principles of mechanics, the artists simplified the forms to create immediately recognizable objects that also succeed as formal sculptures.
