ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Lisianthus is a photograph by artist Carolyn MacKay. She created this abstracted composition of the Lisianthus flower by shooting through a rippled glass vase. Her experimentation with this method of distortion grew into a portfolio of abstract flower images. These artworks illustrate the dramatic forms that can be found in the simplest of flowers.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with .
