ABOUT THE ARTWORK
'Swing set' is a sculpture by artist Louise Kodis. It combines natural materials, metals, and fabrics to create an imaginative form. She notes, "My basic source of inspiration is my garden – the memories of colors and textures, of plants, insects and birds, clouds, the changing seasons. Then I put a design together intuitively… Constantly I lift fabric from the storage shelf to the work table."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with .
