ABOUT THE ARTWORK
After a 3,000-mile excursion over a two-and-half year period, artist Nance Bracken created this artwork as part of an eight-piece series. The prints features the eight regions of Washington State. Each artwork includes an etched and hand-painted map of one region. She then surrounded the map with images of the region's key features, as interpreted by the artist. This print features images of the Palouse Wheat Fields, Devils Canyon, Monumental Dam, Palouse Falls, and Snake River View.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Nance Bracken (1946-2021) was an Ellensburg, Washington-based artist focused on painting, drawing, and printmaking. Her work portrays intricate natural landscapes and a lifelong love of observing the natural world. Bracken earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (1970) from Washington State University in Pullman, Eastern Washington, a Master of Arts degree (1974) in drawing from Central Washington University in Ellensburg and a Master of Fine Arts degree (1987) in painting and printmaking at Washington State University.
