ABOUT THE ARTIST
Celebrated Seattle artist Sherry Markovitz is best known for her elaborately detailed papier mâché and beaded sculpture, which often depict dolls or animal head trophies and investigate the symbolism of identity. Markovitz received the 2019 Twining Humber Award for lifetime artistic achievement.
