ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Natural Recall is a painted wood sculpture by artist Mike DeVoe. He chose a variety of fish species while also keeping their size in scale to each other. Devoe notes, "I use fish images in much of my art for their three-dimensional suppleness, and in this piece in particular, for the directedness that fish have in common with birds. There is a Zen saying that fish fly through the sea as birds swim through the air." We do not currently have a digitized image of this artwork.
