ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This - That is part of artist Liza vonRosenstiel’s body of mixed media artworks that depict animal icons. This piece was created from found objects. The shape of the boomerang reminded the artist of deer horns, and inspired the title. She notes, “A boomerang goes in circles. Can you see the two deer facing each other? Have you ever faced someone and had an argument? You say this, they say that, you say this, they say that. The conversation goes in circles and doesn't get resolved.”
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with .
