2023 Governor’s Arts & Heritage Awards

About the Awards

The Governor’s Arts & Heritage Awards recognize Washington’s outstanding arts and cultural leaders, artists, culture bearers, and organizations. ArtsWA administers the awards on behalf of the Governor.

About the Ceremony

November 15, 2023
11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Join ArtsWA in person at the Governor’s residence for the awards ceremony:
504 15th Avenue Southeast, Olympia, WA 98501

This is an invitation-only standing reception for honorees, their guests, ArtsWA staff, and select members of Washington’s arts and heritage community. Hors d’oeuvres served from 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. during the event will include a variety of options: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.

Masks and proof of vaccination are not required. If you are showing signs of sickness, please do not attend.

Dress is business formal or business casual. A self-check coat closet where you may hang your coat is located just to the right as you enter the Residence.

Parking is limited. We recommend you park in the North and South Diagonal streets and in the parking lot off Capitol Way S. These are marked on the map at this link. Please do not park in any assigned parking spots. Make sure to allow yourself enough time to park your vehicle and arrive at the residence by 11:15 a.m.

All guests should plan to bring their IDs to the event and check in at the guard gate outside the Residence. We encourage you to dress for the weather and bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast. Be prepared for a short wait at the guard station until the gates open at 11:15 a.m. There will be canopies set up if rain is in the forecast. When the gates open, you will walk a short ways up the hill to the Governor’s Residence. There is a ramp to the front door entrance.

If you have requested accessible parking, please let the guard station know when you show them your ID. They will give you instructions on where to park.

If you have misplaced your RSVP link or have additional questions, please reach out to Adrienne Kerrigan: adrienne.kerrigan@arts.wa.gov.

Unfortunately, due to previously scheduled commitments, Governor Inslee and First Lady Trudi will not be able to attend. They send congratulations and their best wishes to the 2023 Honorees.
