ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Selene Santucci painted Some Kind of Memory using a technique called scumbling. In this process, she layered dark paint over a light background to create the impression of a storming sky. She notes that this painting seeks to capture the "feeling that one gets through contact with nature—to capture the vastness, power, and emotion inspired by the natural scene."
